Sustainability
At Mossley CE Primary School, we believe that everyone, from our youngest learners to our oldest pupils, has the power to make a difference in caring for God’s creation and protecting our planet.
This page will showcase how our children are learning to live more sustainably. We’re focusing on how we use and manage energy across our school, finding ways to reduce waste, and making choices that help us care for our world.
Our Eco Council (Eco-Warriors) will be leading exciting projects to encourage everyone to think about how we travel to school, how we can protect and enhance biodiversity in our school grounds, and how we can work with our local community to make positive environmental changes.
From energy-saving campaigns and recycling challenges to wildlife surveys and community clean-up events, we are learning together how small actions can make a big impact.
Join us as we grow, learn, and take meaningful steps towards a greener, more sustainable future for all.
Congratulations to our appointed Eco Warriors who will take on their responsibilities within our Mossley school community, focusing on sustainability and exploring ways we can reduce our climate impact around school:

Our Eco-Warriors led a fantastic assembly on Thursday 26th February about the fashion industry and the impact of fast fashion on our planet. The children shared key facts through an interactive game and were joined by The Big Clothes Movement, who explained more about recycling clothes.
We explored what happens to clothes when they are thrown away and discussed positive alternatives, including reusing, donating and supporting our PTA clothes collections. 🌍
